Job Purpose
At Emirates, we are committed to connecting people around the world through our global hub in Dubai while continuously improving our services so customers can “Fly Better.” Emirates Engineering is an advanced aircraft maintenance facility approved by GCAA CAR V standards. The department supports Emirates’ large Airbus and Boeing fleet, as well as more than thirty other airlines through third-party maintenance contracts. Our experienced and highly skilled workforce specializes in aircraft maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, planning, and logistics, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
The Driver is responsible for transporting courier packages and mail between different Engineering departments, the Engineering mail room, and Central Services in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Collect outgoing documents from the cargo and mail sections for flights and deliver incoming documents accordingly.
- Ensure that couriers and mail are delivered to the correct Line Maintenance units and Engineering hangars based on the delivery address.
- Collect mail from Engineering hangars and Line Maintenance departments and deliver it to the Engineering mail room.
- Deliver mail and courier packages from the Engineering mail room to the Engineering Headquarters (EGHQ) Central Services department.
- Ensure that all assigned vehicles and equipment are safe to operate on the airport ramp and that all ramp safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Report any delays related to document delivery to the supervisor immediately.
- Move vehicles scheduled for maintenance between Airside and Landside locations.
- Follow all company safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist the Executive Secretary or Administrator with additional administrative duties when required.
- Complete assigned administrative tasks accurately and within the required deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, or driver-related work is preferred.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum of 8 years of schooling.
Knowledge and Skills
- Valid driving experience is required.
